 This painting was inspired by a walk down the lane at my grandfather’s farm near Kent Bridge in Chatham-Kent.  The colour of the wheat on this June afternoon was so fresh and bright, that it had to be painted in one of my favourite pigments; called Green Gold.  In my landscapes I like to use a combination of realistic elements and abstracted ones that play with notions of depth and visual perception in paint.
